Digital Edge (Hong Kong) Ltd. (“Digital Edge”) has officially become the major shareholder of PT Indointernet Tbk (“Indonet”). Collaboration between Digital Edge and Indonet is expected to support Indonet’s growth. In addition, Toto Sugiri remains as a shareholder and has an active role as Indonet’s Chairman.

Digital Edge is a data center platform company founded to transform digital infrastructure in Asia Pacific. The entry of Digital Edge as a strategic investor in Indonet is in line with Indonet’s business focus to become a pioneer in multi-connectivity services and EDGE Data Center, due to the following:

• Digital Edge, founded by a senior management team with more than 20 years of experience at Equinix, Facebook and Tata Communications, is an expert in value creation in the data center, cloud and telecommunications industries in Asia Pacific;
• The Digital Edge platform is currently spread across Asia Pacific, such as Japan, South Korea and the Philippines. Thus, Digital Edge can expand Indonet’s customer database;
• Backed by Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners, a private equity firm based in the United States with focus on the infrastructure sector, Digital Edge can expand Indonet’s access to funding.

The collaboration between Digital Edge and Indonet is expected to strengthen Indonet’s business to become a trusted digital infrastructure service provider in Indonesia.
